NorthPoint Financial, LLC was formed by Kurt A. Siegenthaler, CPA and is quickly becoming a leader in retirement plan administration and consulting services. NorthPoint Financial is a locally-owned full-service third party administration (TPA) firm offering administrative services for all types of retirement plans and Section 125 – Cafeteria plans to small and medium size businesses and professional practices.

Kurt Siegenthaler has over 20 years of experience in the administration of employee benefit plans including but not limited to qualified retirement plans and Section 125 – Cafeteria Plans. As a licensed CPA in the state of Georgia, Kurt also offers accounting and tax consulting services to his employee benefit plan clients.

What is a TPA? A TPA “Third Party Administrator” is a professional firm that administers and sometimes performs the recordkeeping function for Qualified Retirement Plans, like a Profit Sharing Plan or 401(k) Plan. A TPA provides the necessary compliance in order for the plan to maintain its qualified status. Certain areas of compliance include ERISA, Department of Labor Guidelines, Internal Revenue Code and Regulations.

A retirement plan is the best tax shelter available, as well as an excellent way of attracting and retaining employees. However, administering a retirement plan can be quite time-consuming. Having a Third Party Administrator is the most economical way of administering these plans. Not only will you free up your own personnel to perform other much needed tasks, but you will have a qualified TPA to make sure you are complying with all IRS regulations, answering any questions you may have, meeting with employees and handling their distributions, and reviewing annual reports.
